Though the incoming first-year class will be larger in the coming years, our current students should know that there will be housing available for current Georgia Tech undergraduate and graduate students for the next academic year. Upperclass students will apply for housing in phases beginning in late January. Dates for those phases will be posted to this page by the end of fall semester.
Spaces will be first-come, first-served, so any student looking to live on campus next year should be prepared to apply as soon as the application opens for them. We will turn on the waitlist when we reach capacity, but those on the waitlist should know that they can track their position and cancel off the waitlist penalty-free.
If a student applies by the self-assign deadline and they are not on the waitlist, they will be able to select an assignment during the self-assign period. Students currently living on campus who complete an application by the self-assign deadline will be given the opportunity to choose their current assignment* for the following academic year. If space becomes available to place those on the waitlist after the self-assign period, those students will be given a room assignment that they can swap during room swap.
Housing and Residence Life does not guarantee housing, but we are doing everything we can to help as many students as possible find housing. Look for information about application process information sessions, housing fairs, and other opportunities to explore your options. Students can always review the off-campus leasing options available by visiting offcampus.housing.gatech.edu.
*If your current assignment will not be available for the following academic year, you will have the option to select another room on campus.
