We look forward to having you join our residential community in the new year and are excited to share the important information below about your move-in experience.
To select your room, and make or change your move-in appointment, go to My Housing, where move-in appointments are featured on the home page. That is also where you’ll find information about check-in and parking for your selected move-in appointment.
Spring Move-In is typically the Friday before classes start. (Except for incoming students participating in FASET, who will have a separate move-in time)
After arriving on campus, you should park near your hall in your permitted area or visitor parking, then visit your Area Housing Office to check-in and get your key and BuzzCard if you submitted a photo in time.
Please do your best to arrive at the time of your appointment to make the move smoother for all.
If you will arrive after check-in is closed, you’ll call the RA-on-duty to be let into your room. The number is on a card on the front door of your residence hall. All students who arrive after the Area Office is closed will pick up their keys from the area office on the next business day.
Bins may be available to assist with your move, which you can also find at your area office. We ask that you quickly use the bin to transfer your belongings from your car to your room and then return it before settling in further.
You’re probably deciding what to bring with you when you move-in in just a few weeks. No large furniture like futons, these are prohibited. For the full list of what to bring and what is prohibited, visit housing.gatech.edu/move-in-items-to-bring.
As a resident you'll have a campus mailbox at the Georgia Tech Post Office located in the Student Center You won't have a physical mailbox, but a folder you check by visiting the customer service counter. To find your mailbox (folder) number and how it fits into your campus address, visit the Post Office website.
