Graduate and Family residents were notified prior to academic year 2025-26 about their term limitations. Graduate students are limited to one academic year contract term and one consecutive summer contract term.
Graduate Resident Contract Term Structure Options
- Fall → Spring → Summer
- Summer → Fall → Spring
- Spring → Summer*
Family students are limited to two academic year terms and two consecutive summer terms.
Family Resident Contract Term Structure Options

- Summer → Fall → Spring→ Summer → Fall → Spring
If you secured and lived on-campus for the 2025-26 Academic Year, that was the start of your term limit. Graduate students who lived on-campus for the fall 2025 and spring 2026 terms will are not eligible to participate in the 2026-27 housing application lottery. Graduate students who lived on-campus for the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters can remain on campus for the summer 2026 term.*
*Summer residents are still required to complete a summer term housing contract.
