Why is Tenth & Home A & C closing?
Tenth & Home Buildings A and C will be offline for a scheduled life system upgrades project. To complete this work safely and efficiently, the buildings must be fully vacated during the closure period.
Why can’t I remain in A & C during the project?
The maintenance required is extensive and cannot be performed with residents in the building. Closing the building allows us to complete the work more efficiently and safely.
When will the closure happen?
Summer 2027 Closure: Tenth & Home A & C will be closed after Spring 2027, with no residents allowed to remain in the buildings.
I live in Tenth & Home A or C. Can I stay in my apartment for the summer?
No. During Summer 2027, these buildings will be closed, and residents will need to relocate to a furnished apartment or live off-campus, depending on your eligibility.
When will I need to move?
Residents eligible for summer housing must relocate on May 7, 2027.
Can I cancel my summer housing if I prefer to live off-campus?
Yes. You may cancel your summer application without penalty up to May 1, 2027.
How will I learn my summer relocation assignment (Summer 2027 students only)?
Your assignment will be emailed to you and posted in My Housing under your Summer 2027 application.
What if I already made plans based on my current assignment?
We understand that transitions can be disruptive. Our goal is to provide as much notice and support as possible. If your situation requires individualized assistance, please contact the Assignments team. Because you will be relocated to a furnished apartment, we will assist with storing your belongings over the summer.
Who can I contact with questions?
Please reach out to the Assignments Team at hrlassignments@housing.gatech.edu.
We are here to support you through this transition and ensure you have the information and resources you need.
